Dr. Michael T. Smith
Dr. Michael T. Smith
Dr. Michael T. Smith is our dentist. He was born in Ogden and was raised in Roy, Utah. Growing up, he enjoyed training and competing in Power Tumbling, where he placed 1st in Utah, 2nd nationally, and in the world competition in Aukland, New Zealand he placed 3rd. He graduated from Roy High School where his tumbling skills aided him in becoming the school's spirit leader/mascot. Most of Dr. Smith's life has been centered around the dental field. His father is a newly retired orthodontist and Dr. Smith worked in his father's practice most of his life as a chair-side assistant, fabricating retainers/study models, sterilization, and schedule coordinator. Dr. Smith broke from his studies to dedicate two years of his life in church service to the people of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was offered a scholarship to Weber State University where he studied his predental curriculum. He later attended dental school at Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis. He and his family thoroughly enjoyed Indiana for their wonderful children's museum and amazing zoo (but didn't care for the tornados). Dr. Smith finds his greatest happiness being with his wife and four wonderful children (three girls and now a boy). He also enjoys Snowboarding/Wakeboarding, Golfing, and traveling with his family. Dr. Smith's greatest joy in his work is to see how people's smiles are changed for the better, promoting greater self esteem while he focuses on patient comfort throughout the entire process.

Whitney - Dental Hygienist‎
I have been a Dental Hygienist for Holladay Smiles since May 2014. I love interacting with my patients and working with them to reach their oral health needs and goals. I feel so lucky to have found a career that I feel passionate about and truly enjoy doing.

I was born and raised in South Jordan, Utah and attended Bingham High School, in which I was able to play on the lacrosse team as well as achieve my Dental Assisting certificate through the Jordan Applied Technology Center. After obtaining my Associateís degree from Salt Lake Community College, I went on to receive my Bachelorís degree in Dental Hygiene with an emphasis on Public Health at Dixie State University.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, friends, and dog. I enjoy hiking, running, yoga, reading and being outdoors.

Amy - Dental Assistant
I love the outdoors and being active. Rock climbing is one of my all time favorite things to do. I like cats and dogs, but you could say I'm more of a cat lady. My dream is to travel all over the world once I win the lottery, oh and of course, meet One Direction. Italy and Hawaii are two of my favorite places I've ever been to. One day I will become a beach bum. Oh yeah and I can say the alphabet backwards.

Stephanie-Front Office
Hi! My name is Stephanie. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 11 years and just recently made the decision to go back to work. I have 3 adorable and crazy kids. My husband and I have been married for 15 years. I was born and raised in Utah. In 2014, we moved to Colorado where we lived for 4 years. We absolutely loved it there. After that, we were transferred to Iowa where we lived for 6 short months and recently just moved back to Utah where we hope to stay forever. I taught English to elementary kids in China and Russia. Those are experiences that I wouldnít trade for anything! Family time, exercising, traveling, going to movies and baking are just some of the things I enjoy.

Iím thrilled to be working at Holladay Smiles!

Jennica - Operative Assistant
Jennica Schembri was born in Rexburg, Idaho, and lived there since she was 8. She and her family moved to Murray, Utah in 2013. She has 5 brothers and 1 sister, she is the second youngest in her family. Her family owned a tile store in Rexburg. Jennica grew up around roofing, flooring, and other construction occupations. Growing up, Jennica loved playing outside, helping her dad on the roof and wrestling with her brothers. Jennica graduated high school three years early and went to dental assisting school. She started working at Holladay Smiles in 2016. Jennica really enjoys coming to work every day and loves talking to patient and hearing their life story. She loves helping people feel more confident about their smile. When Jennica is not working, she loves reading comics, watching anime and listening to Korean pop music.

Tai - Insurance/Patient Coordinator
Tai has been with our team at Holladay Smiles for a little over three years. Getting to know our patients and learning a little about all who come in to our office is one of Taiís favorite things about working with us. When not at work, Tai is the busy mother of four. She and her family love to travel and spend time together. Her favorite places to travel include Australia, Europe, cruising and of courseÖ Disneyland! She also loves baking, reading, going to the gym, and watching Hallmark Movies.

Kaley - Hygiene Assistant
I've been working here since July 2017 and I absolutely love it! I am currently going to school at Salt Lake Community College to become a registered dental hygienist. I am always excited to see all of the various patients we have. It's been a very fun experience, especially working with my amazing coworkers. And I gotta admit, Dr. Smith is pretty okay himself. I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, but eventually moved here to Utah. I enjoy drawing and playing a few video games. Originally, I wanted to go to school to become an animator or a video game designer. However, since I gained a strong passion from working in the dental field, I chose to work towards becoming a dental hygienist instead. Once I do become one, I hope I can pursue another degree and career towards either of those two options. Or I can just take the easy way out and marry someone who's rich. Whichever comes first. Some of my other favorite pastimes include looking at pictures of dogs, hating on tomatoes, and trying to avoid disappointing my mother.
